When you subscribe to the DC.pm mailing list, you should receive a welcome note that looks something like this:
-- Welcome to the dc mailing list! Please save this message for future reference. Thank you. If you ever want to remove yourself from this mailing list, you can send mail to <firstname.lastname@example.org> with the following command in the body of your email message: unsubscribe dc or from another account, besides email@example.com: unsubscribe dc firstname.lastname@example.org If you ever need to get in contact with the owner of the list, (if you have trouble unsubscribing, or have questions about the list itself) send email to <email@example.com>. This is the general rule for most mailing lists when you need to contact a human. Here's the general information for the list you've subscribed to, in case you don't already have it: [Last updated on: Mon Jun 8 22:47:59 1998] Hello EveryOne! I think you know what to do, send email to the list, stay, lurk, or whatever, as long as you wish, unsubcribe at the proper moment. Have fun. more later ... pth
You should save this file so you will know how to unsubscribe if you so decide in the future. I notice that this message does not tell you where to send messages to have them go to the list. The correct address for that is firstname.lastname@example.org. If I can figure out where this welcome message file is, I'll update it to include that.
